Ordering Lab Tests via Clinic Commerce

Overview

Clinic Commerce is a feature integrated with the Eka Care EMR, allowing doctors to order lab tests during consultation. When labs are ordered through this feature, partner laboratories such as Orange Health, Neuberg Labs, and Redcliffe Labs arrange home sample collection for patients.

Once the test is completed:

• Lab reports are automatically added to the patient’s Medical Records in Eka Care EMR.
• Patients receive the reports on WhatsApp.
• Doctors can also earn incentives for lab orders placed through Clinic Commerce.

Steps to Get Started with Clinic Commerce

1. From the Eka Care Dashboard, click on Orders from the left-hand side panel.

2. Click on Setting icon on the top-right to get started with Clinic Commerce.

3. Enter your bank account details to receive incentives for lab orders.

• Complete the sign-up process.

1. Open the patient consultation and click Write Rx.

2. Go to Lab Investigations.

• Select and order the bookable lab tests through Clinic Commerce.

1. Go to Patient Demographics section > under actions click on (⋮) on the right side > Choose Book Lab Tests

2. Enter the required test details.

3. Add the patient’s address for home sample collection.

4. To Confirm the sample collection schedule, click on Select Slot

5. Once booked successfully, orders summary will be shown.

• Continue to View all orders to check the patients order history

• All booked lab tests will appear under the Orders section in Order History.

• Click the three dots (⋮) on the right side > Select Cancel Booking.

Important Notes

• Partner labs visit the patient’s home for sample collection, making the process convenient for patients.
• Lab reports are automatically saved in the patient’s Medical Records in Eka Care EMR.
• Patients also receive their reports directly on WhatsApp.
• Doctors become eligible for incentives when lab tests are ordered through Clinic Commerce.
