How Can I View a Patient’s Past Vitals and Lab Trends Over Time?

Viewing Vitals & Lab Trends for a Patient

Overview

The Vitals & Lab Trends section allows doctors to track a patient’s historical vitals and lab readings in a graphical format. This helps in quickly analyzing health trends over time, comparing past readings, and identifying improvements or abnormalities in parameters such as blood pressure, BMI, weight, and other recorded vitals.

Step 1: Go to Patients from the main dashboard to open Patient Demographics.

Step 2: Select the patient whose past vitals or lab trends you want to review.

Step 3: From the left-hand panel, click Vitals & Lab Trends.

Step 4: Under All Readings, locate the vital or lab parameter you want to analyze (for example: BMI, Blood Pressure, Weight).

Note: The ⭐ star icon beside a parameter marks it as a Key Vital, helping highlight the most important health indicators for quick reference.

Step 5: Click on the “>” icon under View Trend for the specific parameter.

Step 6: A graphical representation of the patient’s readings over time will open, showing the trend of that vital or lab parameter.

Important Notes

  • Trend graphs display historical readings recorded during consultations or added manually.
  • Abnormal values may be highlighted with indicators, making them easier to identify.
