How can we add a patient using face authentication in ABHA?

Overview

Adding a patient using face authentication in ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is a quick and secure method of registering or accessing patient details using Aadhaar-based facial verification. Instead of relying on OTP or biometric devices, this method uses the patient’s face to authenticate identity, making the process faster, contactless, and more convenient in clinical settings.

Description

**Face authentication for adding a patient in ABHA works by capturing a live image of the patient and matching it with the photograph stored in the Aadhaar database. During the patient registration process, the user selects the face authentication option and enters the patient’s Aadhaar details with consent. **

Step 1: Go to the Queue section.

Step 2: Click on Search and add a patient.

Note : Click on Add Patient via ABHA.

Step 3: Choose the Aadhaar option and enter the Aadhaar details.

Note : After entering the Aadhaar details, click on Face Authentication

Step 4: Scan the QR code to authenticate using face authentication.
