How to Enable Auto-Detect Language in EkaScribe for Speech Recognition


Overview


EkaScribe allows you to automatically detect the language spoken during patient consultations. Enabling the Auto-Detect Language feature helps ensure accurate transcription without needing to manually switch between languages, especially in multilingual interactions.


Steps to Enable Auto-Detect Language


Step 1: From the Eka EMR Dashboard, click on the EkaScribe icon.





Step 2: You will be redirected to the ekascribe.ai page.


  • Navigate to the bottom-left corner and click on your profile name.
  • Select User Defaults from the menu.





Step 3: Under the Speech Recognition section, locate Default Input Language(s).


  • Choose Auto Detect Language.





Step 4: Click Save to apply the changes.





Additional Notes


  • Auto-detect works best when audio clarity is good and background noise is minimal.
  • You can override the language setting for specific sessions if required.
  • If the system does not accurately detect the language, try selecting a fixed language manually for better results.
