How to Create Custom Output Templates in EkaScribe


Overview


EkaScribe allows you to create custom output templates to structure consultation notes according to your preference. You can either use pre-existing templates or design your own for more personalized documentation.


Steps to Create Custom Templates


Step 1: From the left panel, click on the EkaScribe: Voice AI icon.




Step 2: You will be redirected to the ekascribe.ai page.




Step 3: Navigate to the Templates option located at the bottom-left corner. Click on Template Directory.



  • Here, you will find pre-existing templates that can be enabled and used directly.





Step 4: To create a new template, click on + Create Template (top-right corner).




Step 5: Fill in the required template details:


  • Template Name – Give a clear and identifiable name.
  • Category/Type – Select the appropriate category (e.g., Prescription, SOAP Notes, Summary).
  • Template Content – Define the structure/format in which the output should be generated.
  • Instructions (if applicable) – Add any specific formatting or content instructions for better results.





Step 6: Once all details are filled, click on Save Template (top-right corner).





Step 7: The newly created template will now appear under the My Library section.


  • You can select and use this template from the Default Output Format(s) section whenever required.





Additional Notes


  • You can edit or update templates anytime from My Library.
  • Using structured templates ensures consistency in documentation.
  • Pre-existing templates are useful for quick setup if customization is not required.
