How to disable the generic name on the prescription?

Overview

**Disabling the generic name on a prescription allows users to control how medication details are displayed in the printed or digital prescription. In some cases, only the brand name is preferred for clarity or specific requirements. By turning off the generic name option, the prescription becomes more concise and aligned with the doctor’s preference. **

Description

**In the prescription settings, medications can be displayed with both brand name and generic name by default. However, if the generic name is not required, users can modify the print or prescription settings to disable this option. **

Navigation

Step 1: Go to the patient’s Visit Pad.

Step 2: Click on the Print Settings option at the bottom left.

Step 3: Disable the Generic Name option and click on Apply Changes.

Note : Disabling the generic name option ensures a cleaner and more customized prescription format. Always review the print settings before applying changes to ensure the prescription meets your requirements.
