What is the Slot Type Enhancement in Queue?

Overview:


**A new enhancement has been introduced in the slot selection process. Users can now choose between two different slot types—Flexible Time Slots and Fixed Slots (Schedule-Based)—to improve appointment booking accuracy and flexibility. **


Description:


While booking an appointment, users will now see a Slot Type option with two choices:


  1. Flexible Time Slots:

This option displays available time slots ranging from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM. It functions the same as the existing booking flow, allowing users to select any available time within the defined range.
2. Fixed Slots (Schedule-Based):

This option shows time slots based on the doctor’s configured calendar availability and specific services. It ensures that appointments are aligned with the doctor’s actual working schedule, reducing conflicts and improving scheduling accuracy.


**Users can select the preferred slot type before choosing a date and time for the appointment. **


Navigation


Step 1 : Go to Queue Section and click on slot option


Step 2: After clicking on the slot option, choose either Flexible or Fixed slot.


Notes:


  • Use Flexible Time Slots for quicker booking with broader availability.
  • Use Fixed Slots for accurate scheduling based on the doctor’s real-time availability.
  • Fixed slots depend on proper calendar configuration by the doctor/admin.
  • If no slots are visible in Fixed mode, verify the doctor’s schedule settings.
