How to Enable and Use the Dental Chart ?

Overview

The Dental Chart feature helps dentists record and monitor a patient’s oral health condition in a structured and visual format. It allows doctors to mark affected teeth, add dental procedures, and maintain accurate treatment records for better diagnosis and follow-up care.

Description

To enable and use the Dental Chart, navigate to the Configure to pad section in the system and enable the Dental Chart option under the relevant configuration settings. Once enabled, open the patient’s consultation or visit page, where the dental chart will be available. From there, you can select individual teeth, mark dental conditions, add procedures, and record treatment details. This helps maintain a clear and organized dental record for each patient.

Step 1: Once the appointment is booked, click on Rx Write from the My OPD Queue.

Step 2: Click on Configure Your Pad from the top-right corner.

Step 3: Scroll down to locate the Dental Chart option.

Step 4: Enable the Dental Chart by selecting the checkbox.

Step 5: Click on Save.

Step 6: The Dental Chart will now be enabled and visible in the Rx Pad.

Step 7: Select the relevant tooth/area to mark issues. The selected findings will appear at the top, where you can add examinations as required.

Step 8: To change the dental chart view (e.g., Adult), click on the view selection option.

**Note : **

To change the Dental Chart view (e.g., Adult), click on the view selection option. The system provides three types of dentition views that you can select based on the patient’s age and dental condition:

  • Adult Dentition – For patients with a full set of permanent teeth.
  • Pediatric Dentition – For children with primary (milk) teeth.
  • Mixed Dentition – For patients who have a combination of primary and permanent teeth.

Step 9: Select the required option from the list.

Step 10: The chart will update accordingly (for example, to the Pediatric Dental Chart).
