How to activate or disable WhatsApp & SMS messages?
Overview
The Message Configuration feature allows clinics to manage automated patient communications through WhatsApp and SMS. These communications may include appointment confirmations, reminders, prescription updates, follow-ups, billing notifications, and other important alerts.
**By enabling or disabling specific message types, clinics can control how patient communications are sent based on operational requirements and preferences. **
Description
Users can manage WhatsApp and SMS communication settings from the Message Configuration section within the application. The system allows clinics to activate or disable different message types individually depending on their workflow needs.
Once enabled, automated messages will be sent to patients for supported activities such as appointments, prescriptions, reminders, billing updates, and follow-ups. If disabled, those communications will no longer be triggered for patients.
When configuring patient communication, the following message charges are applicable:
- Normal SMS : ₹0.14 per message
- WhatsApp Message : ₹0.66 per message
Users should ensure the correct communication channel is enabled based on their usage preference and operational requirements.
