How to De-merge Previously Merged Patients?

De-merge Previously Merged Patients


Overview


If two patient profiles were previously merged assuming they were duplicates, but later identified as different patients, the profiles can be de-merged from the patient record.



Steps to De-merge


Step 1: Click on Patients section from the left-hand side panel.




Step 2: Search for and open the patient profile where the other patient record is currently merged.




Step 3: On the left side of the patient profile, locate the Merge icon, which indicates that another profile is merged with this patient.




Step 4: Identify the patient profile that needs to be separated.


  • Click on the Unlink icon - ðŸ”— next to that profile to de-merge the patient.




De-merging will restore the selected profile as a separate patient record and unarchive the patient profile.
